Carr'Dyth
Age: 24 (born 25 BBY)
Race: male Mirialan
Appearance: 1,82m, slender and agile. Long dark hair. It reaches over his shoulders. It's thick and quite waveless. Blue eyes. Only a few 'ritual' tattoos on his face yet. His skin is the typical Mirialan yellow-green, a little darker than this.
Personality
Well mannered, yet can be hot-headed and rash ('soldier of fortune'). Lacks patience. Needs action and change.
Carr is more interested in glory and action.
Carr'Dyth wants access to this power inside him. He feels betrayed by the Empire which destroyed the temple and the people who would have taught him.
So he does respect Cerena for the sheer fact that she can use the Force and knows how it works. He needs her to teach him. He might not agree with the restraints (rules and morals) Cerena applies and he believes that she holds back, slowing down the pace - which doesn't work well with his impatience. (source)
It seems Carr pretty much 'shifted' the meaning, or interpretation of Cerena's teachings - even if just a little bit. He isn't exactly 'sneaky', but he noticed that Cerena might 'expel' him just like the other schools did, if he would oppose her ideals too much. Especially now as she has a potential 'replacement'. Carr would rather take on missions that benefit them (ie bounty missions) rather than missions of mercy to find a stranger's lost parents.
Carr is a little paranoid that the two humans might have a racist attitude towards him.
His only interest in Josh, initially, is as a potential ally in the fight against the Sith and the Empire a battle he believes is coming sooner rather than later.
Background
He was born in the years of the Clone Wars, was identified as force sensitive and was ought to be brought to the Jedi Tempel on Coruscant at the age of six, if the Jedi would assign him to a Mirialan master to train him.
As he was four the Jedi purge and the following negative propaganda made it practically impossible for him to become a padawan. Over the following years his family discouraged him from further developing his abilites and played them down in order to hide and protect him from the empire.
Jedi powers and fighting style
Enhancing his agility by means of the Force, like leaping, running, bending, dodging was one of his pros. It also helped improving and honing his efficiency in martial arts which he had been introduced to on his home world already at a young age as part of his spiritual upbringing.
He also handled his pistol well. (source)
When training with his master Carr was usually more controlled and refraining from gaining strength through passion, something that Carr found quite elating, when acting on his own. (source)
One didn't fight to look good, or impress his enemy, or an other witnesses. He fought for only one purpose: to win.
To reach this goal it implied the use of any means that promised a tactical advantage. He would never comment on the enemy's moves. He would never give away where he saw weaknesses, nor boast.
Carr used to continuously change his battle style, in order to confuse the opponent. Mixing different styles meant an advantage. (source)
Throwing objects around, he got a better feel for size, weight, aiming accuracy over different distances, or stealthiness by using small projectiles. He also realised that he could squash hollow containers, which would be strategically relevant if it came to supply pipes and tubes. (source)
